Who is/are the relevant merger authority(ies)? The Dutch Competition Authority (Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit - "NMa") enforces the merger control provisions of the Competition Act (Mededingingswet - "Act") which entered into force on 1 January 1998. The NMa is, since 1 July 2005, an autonomous administrative body. It is headed by a board of three members ("Board"). The NMa investigates concentrations following notification or on its own initiative.
