Biography
Willemien Bischot has been working as a lawyer since September 1991 and was appointed partner at Van Doorne on 1 January 2000. She is the chair of Van Doorne's Health Group.
Ms Bischot lectures actively on the subjects she is specialized in. She publishes frequently, including on health care issues. Besides her work at Van Doorne, Ms Bischot is the chair of the Nijbakker-Morra Stichting, a foundation whose object is to treat malignant growths (cancer) by means of funding cancer research. She also is counsel to Nederlandse Vereniging voor Ergotherapie inUtrecht. Ms Bischot is further on the board of Stichting Medisch Centrum voor Geboorteregeling (SMCG) in Leiden and the external advisory council of the Master Zorgmanagement Erasmus Medisch Centrum.
Ms Bischot focuses on advising health care institutions, individual care providers and other market players active in the sector, covering the wide range of fields of law that advising these clients involves. Her specific expertise is in the financing and structuring of and employment relations in health care institutions. In these matters, Ms Bischot frequently advises and litigates; whenever specific expertise is required in fields such as notarial services, intellection property law or construction law, she teams up with other members of our Health Group.
Ms Bischot had been recommended by several legal counsel handbooks for her expertise in Health Care and Employment law.
