Biography
Paul Witteveen has been working as a lawyer since 1977 and became a partner with Van Doorne in 1985. Paul Witteveen specializes in employment law, with a focus on employee participation and employment law in the public sector and non-departmental public bodies. Paul is increasingly focusing on legal issues where employment law and corporate law meet, including corporate litigation. His clientele includes medium-sized firms (both domestic and international), non-departmental public institutions and top executives.
Paul Witteveen frequently publishes articles in professional magazines such as ArbeidsRecht (Employment Law Magazine, of which he is an editor), the Corporate Law Magazine (Tijdschrift voor Ondernemingsrecht, SMA), and is a lecturer on (mainly) employee participation at Grotius Academie and Nijmegen Law School. He is a member of the board of various non-profit organisations and has been recommended by several legal counsel handbooks for his expertise in Employment Law (Legal 500 2007, Chambers and Partners 2007).
