Biography
Hugo Reumkens joined Van Doorne in 1994, after which he gained a postgraduate degree (with honours) in company law. He has been a partner at Van Doorne since 2002. Hugo specialises in company law, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, private equity and joint ventures.
Several independent international surveys recommend Hugo as an expert in the area of private equity. For example, Chambers Europe draws attention to Hugo’s long-standing relationship with Dockwise, which he assisted last year in the sale by 3i. The 2008 Legal 500 commends Van Doorne’s in-depth knowledge in the area of private equity: “Van Doorne has extensive private equity experience, acting for Dutch and international private equity houses such as Apollo, Charterhouse, Blackstone and Sun Capital. Notably, the team advised Doughty Hanson in its acquisition of Norit International" and for corporate and M&A clients appreciate 'professional advice within any time limit'.
