Management change at Van Doorne
04-01-2010
Effective as of 1 January 2010, Thijs Clement has been appointed as managing partner at Van Doorne N.V. Amsterdam, succeeding Onno Boerstra. Besides the managing partner, the management team comprises Hetty Fenton, in charge of operations.
Onno Boerstra has been responsible for day-to-day management since 1 January 2007 and will now devote himself fully to his private equity and M&A practice. Onno looks back on his management period with satisfaction, noting that “We have improved our market position in recent years. This is evident, for example, from the inflow of high-profile cases such as the IPO of Dockwise, the insolvency of Van der Moolen and the large number of arbitration proceedings now pending. We have an impressive order portfolio and satisfied clients.”
Boerstra now makes room for Thijs Clement, lawyer and tax consultant, who has been with Van Doorne since 1 January 2002. Thijs aims “to continue to invest in our human capital and stimulate growth, also in harder times. A continuous focus on our clients and consistent quality now bear fruit. We are right on track and will continue to pursue our course.”
