Ministry of Defence
The Ministry of Defence decided to have the new headquarters of the Royal Netherlands Army developed by means of a public private partnership (PPP). Five buildings are now being constructed on the grounds of Kromhout Barracks grounds; they will house the headquarters and several other defence departments. The buildings will feature 3,000 workstations. In addition, sports, meeting, restaurant and encampment facilities will be built on the barrack grounds, as well as an underground parking garage. Kromhout Barracks spans nearly 47 acres.
The project represents a net cash value of over € 450 million. Van Doorne assisted the Ministry of Defence with this project by drafting all the legal documents, such as the tender documents and all the contracts. Van Doorne also facilitated meetings with the tenderers in the competitive dialogue procedure organised by the Ministry of Defence.
