Meerstad

The Meerstad project will deliver approximately 10,000 homes over a period of some 25 years in the area between the municipality of Groningen and the municipality of Slochteren. This project will be realised by means of a public private partnership (PPP).

Van Doorne advised and assisted all the public parties during the formation of the PPP, i.e. the municipalities of Slochteren and Groningen, the province of Groningen and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality/DLG (Government Service for Land and Water Management).

Van Doorne drafted the documents and set up the necessary legal entities, structuring the collaboration between the public partners. In addition, Van Doorne supported the public parties during the contract negotiations with private property developers.
