Van Doorne acts as legal counsel to ASR Verzekeringen N.V., one of the leading insurance companies in the Netherlands.

Van Doorne advised and assisted ASR Verzekeringen N.V. in its acquisition of Fortis ASR Bank N.V. from Fortis Bank (Nederland) N.V. As a result of the acquisition of the Fortis ASR Bank N.V., ASR Verzekeringen N.V. acquired its own banking licence enabling it to develop and market new insurance products.

On the Van Doorne team were partner Johan Boeren and associates Joost Kolkman (senior) and Steffen Alleman. Ewout van Asbeck, partner tax, was also on the team.
