Biography
Maïte Ottes studied European and international law at Maastricht University and McGill University in Montreal, Canada. During her studies, she also worked for some time in Riga, Latvia.
In 2005, she entered the service of Van Doorne as part of the European and competition law practice. Maïte advises on cartel agreements, strategic joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and supervises businesses when reporting concentrations to the Netherlands Competition Authority. She also advises on State aid and on a range of procurement-law issues and she has wide experience in supervising procurement procedures. Maïte also represents clients at the European Commission, the Netherlands Competition Authority and in dealings with national and European judicial authorities.
She previously worked as a legal expert at the Netherlands Competition Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was also part of Van Doorne’s Banking and Finance practice.
Maïte has succesfully completed the Dutch and European Competition Law specialist training at the Grotius Academy.
